He is Adjunct Professor of Global Economics at the School of Business Trinity College Dublin The European postal industry continues to go through deep transformation and at different stages. Key drivers of change include digitalization, new Innovations that continues to change consumer habits are already familiar to the post. Throughout its transformation journey the Post which remains a unique industry with a strong social presence. The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digitalization and dramatically changed consume behaviors. Letter decline took a further plunge while e-commerce parcel deliveries increased substantially. One of the most important outcomes of the pandemic is the recognition from governments and citizens that Postal Deliveries are an essential service, trusted by citizens. • What will things look like “post-pandemic”? • How has the war in Ukraine affected European postal operators? • How important is sustainability? • Are we prepared for what’s next? |
