Deutsche Post DHL Group and Group La Poste ex aequo winners of the 2020 Innovation Award
The announcement and award ceremony took place during the PostEurop Plenary Assembly on 8 October 2020.
The Innovation Award aims to foster a stronger affinity and engagement in innovation concepts, ideas and findings among our Members in a consistent and continuous manner. Through the Award, PostEurop would like to recognise Members’ accomplishments in this area.
In this fourth edition of the award, the organising team received 9 Innovative entries from Members: Correos Group, CTT Portugal Post, Deutsche Post DHL Group, Eesti Post (Omniva), Le Groupe La Poste, Liechtensteinische Post, Magyar Posta, Posten Norge and Russian Post.
The panel of jurors had to carefully and thoroughly analyse each entry to reach the unanimous decision on the 2020 winner. This year, two ex aequo winners were declared: Deutsche Post DHL Group and Le Groupe La Poste.

“We feel honored and grateful winning this year’s PostEurop Innovation Award. This recognition provides us with great motivation to further shape the future of delivery in logistics. Our vision was to develop a route optimization solution that can be easily integrated into existing systems and can reduce delivery costs and CO2 emissions. Greenplan is not just a theoretical construct but a globally applicable solution for a broad range of customers”, says Dr. Clemens Beckmann, CEO at Greenplan.
The “Neighbourhood Services Area” (Place des Services) from Le Groupe La Poste is a package of integrated local solutions for urban blocks combining both postal human presence with digital permanence to simplify everyone’s lives, every day. A friendly app is available on google play and IOS stores.
“We are very proud of this award. ‘Place des services’ was born out of market demand from city & neighbourhood builders and managers. We developed ‘Place des Services’ a multiservice neighbourhood area offering access to human and digital hyper-proximity services. It brings the neighbourhood to life and answers everyone’s daily life needs. This new distribution channel combines human presence and digital tools. It highlights the local service offers and helps give shape to the ’15-minute city concept'”, says Blandine Alglave, Head of Proximity Solutions, La Poste.
The ex aequo winners were awarded uniquely designed 3D trophies specially made for the PostEurop Innovation Award, and each one of all the other contestants were also awarded a 3D printed plate as an appreciation token for their participation.
